Top 6 Life Lessons From Steve Jobs - Top 6 Rules For Success

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs was one of the most successful and inspiring entrepreneurs. His inventions changed the world, his company became the most valuable company in the world. Their lots of things that can be learned from him but here in this article I am going to share with you the top 6 lessons from his life.

Steve Jobs truly was an icon of success, after his death, this picture became the definition of Success. a lot of people who don’t really know Steve’s life in detail probably think that everything for him was simple and easy therefore I can't achieve what.

He has achieved because I have got a lot of problems, I have college, family, and tons of other responsibilities, on top of all of that I don’t have the financial support that Steve had in order to achieve what he has achieved, but that's not true.

Steve wasn’t the child that his parents wanted therefore he was given up for adoption. He grew up not knowing his parents, he was diagnosed with cancer for many years and was kicked out from the company he has built. It certainly wasn’t easy for him, he could have chosen to live a normal simple life like everyone else, but despite all of these difficulties he decided to live a great life.

so lesson number 1 - Choose the life you want to live.

It's really hard to believe that the man who has built the most valuable company on earth did not even have a college degree. We are often told that we have to get the highest qualification possible but Steve came and proved that someone only with a high school certificate can achieve some of the greatest achievements in history.

The point is not to drop out of college but a lot of students only focus on getting the certificate, they only want to get that good grade or pass that test, forgetting that the main purpose is to learn. Those pieces of paper that are called certificates might be helpful in your life to some extent but they won’t help you to achieve the heights in your life.

lesson number 2 - Certificates don’t matter

Microsoft has been dominating the PC market for years, Windows was the operation System almost in every single computer that existed. It would be very rational to argue that it's impossible to beat Microsoft and win a large share of the market.

Microsoft had almost everything they needed to get rid of their competitors. they got all the money, all the people, and all the skills but that didn't stop Steve to dream Big, To dream that he will one day rise on the top of all of them, and he could do it.

Before the iPhone, Nokia was dominating the market for years. Steve revolutionized the computer industry, mobile industry, music industry, and created a whole new industry - tablets.

Lesson number 3 - Dream Big

Sometimes looking at all of these giant companies, it seems impossible to compete with them or create even something that's close to this. It seems like Apple has always been like this, but it was not, it all started here It's hard to believe that the world's most valuable company started here, in this garage by high school graduate Steve jobs and his school friend Steven Wozniak.

I think what Steve is teaching us here's that if we wait until everything is going to be perfect to start any project, we might never start it. Yes, there will always be setbacks, you might not have enough time, enough money, the connections but you have to start it somewhere, remember that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step that's exactly what Steve did.

Lesson Number 4 - Start somewhere.

In his speech at Stanford University in 2005: Steve jobs said quote: When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” “Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful, that's what matters to me.” “Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.”

Lesson number 5 - Live every day like it's your last -

Imagine spending more than years building a company that you have always dreamed about. Giving every day of your life just to make it happen and then one day you come to work and you get fired from the company that you have built.

What could be more humiliating than this? how can you get fired from the company you started. This is probably the most demotivating thing that could possibly happen. But Steve did not give up, he went and created another 2 big companies, NeXT which later on was purchased by Apple and Pixar. Instead of blaming life for being unfair to him, he accepted the fact that you do not succeed until you fail. Later on, when Apple purchased NeXT he could become again the CEO of Apple.
